Harvey Milk built his movement from a small storefront, believing that main streets belong to the people who keep them: the shopkeepers, the artists, the neighbors who show up. That is the spirit of this District. In carrying his name along our central corridor, we commit to a neighborhood that stays welcoming and open to everyone, where independent businesses have a voice, and where difference is not just tolerated but celebrated as the source of our character.
